The Monona Grove School District is governed by an elected seven-member Board of Education representing the communities of Monona and Cottage Grove, Wisconsin. The Board of Education meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, with some exceptions occurring during holiday periods. School Board Primary Election: February 18, 2025
It has been determined by Wisconsin State Law that if there are more than twice as many candidates as there are members to be elected to a school board, the school board shall require a primary election for such positions. Since there are five (5) candidates for two (2) seats on the Board, a primary election will be required. The candidates will appear on the ballot in the following order:
1. Kylie Kay Duensing
2. Stephanie Lehmann
3. Susan Manning
4. Peter Sobol
5. Bural M. Coffey

Superintendent Search Updates
The Monona Grove School Board selected Dr. Tanya L. Fredrich as the next Superintendent of Monona Grove School District. The School Board unanimously approved Dr. Fredrich's contract on April 19, 2024.
