Monona Grove School Nutrition’s Farm to School Program is launching a new Community Dinner series this school year, providing staff and families an opportunity to connect, explore school meal offerings, and sample new recipes. We invite all community members to join us! The goal of the Community Dinners is to introduce scratch-made menu items across the district, while featuring a local farmer and embracing the sense of community.
The first Community Dinner will be on October 16th at Cottage Grove School. Dinner served from 5:00-6:30 pm out of the REAP Food Group food truck (weather permitting).
Menu made by our nutrition team:
Ground Beef taco salad, fresh salsa and elote.
Local food menu items provided by Door Creek Apple Orchard: warm cinnamon apples, apple slaw, and apple slices.
*vegetarian options available
If you plan to attend, please RSVP!
The meal is free for all attendees, but if you'd like to contribute, we welcome optional donations to support future Community Dinners.
