How
Can I Help My Child?
You can do a great deal to help your
student succeed in mathematics. Here are some strategies that can be used
throughout the year with any of the mathematics units.
- Encourage your student to do his/her
homework on a regular basis.
- Have your student show you the classroom
examples that should be copied into his/her notebook.
- Ask to see any handouts or worksheets
that reinforce the skills being taught.
- Go through the reading & vocabulary
together. (Make sure your child knows what is being asked.)
- Encourage your student by showing
him/her that you believe that they can succeed if they try & work hard
at the assignment.
