6th grade Spanish Exploratory

What Are We Going to Do in This Class?

In 6th grade Spanish is part of the encore wheel and lasts five weeks this year.  It is a class designed to introduce sixth-graders to the Spanish language and culture.  Students will learn introductory words and phrases, such as What is your name? and Where are you from?,  the alphabet, numbers, days of the week, cognates, months of the year, activities, animals, and colors.  There will be 3 quizzes (K&S), 1 project (K&S), and 2 packets (Effort) for Spanish.   (The other part of effort includes participation-- it is 50% of the effort grade in Spanish.)  In the spring students will have to chose which language they want to continue with in 7th grade (Spanish or French). Please check my website for weekly updates or call Mrs. Wollermann: 839-8091 or Mrs. Cook 839-8092 for weekly homework information.
