Accents
There are two ways to make accents on your computer. The first is to use the ASCII code. To do this, press and hold the alt key while typing in the number combination on the keypad.
á Alt + 0225
é Alt + 0233
í Alt + 0237
ó Alt + 0243
ú Alt + 0250
ñ Alt + 164
¡ Alt + 0161
¿ Alt + 0191
The second way to make accents is to set your keyboard to an international language that will allow you to key in accents. Once set up, you need only do a few keystrokes.
Set Up
1. Open the control panel. (Under the start menu)
2. Double click on the keyboard icon.
3. Click on Language.
4. Click on Properties.
5. Choose United States International from the menu.
6. Click on OK.
7. Restart the computer.
Now to use the accents, press and release the single apostrophe key and then press the letter you need accented. Some computers already have this set up and do it automatically.
