Pictured below you'll find assistive and adapted technology equipment and software, owned by M.G.S.D, available for home and school use.

They are available to students, parents and teachers on a monthly check-out system.

These items are stored at Nichols School and may be checked out through the Nichols Library.

If you are interested in trying any item please, click here for AT Assistance. This link will allow you to
send an e-mail request. When requesting an item please include name of item, bar code number, your name,
phone number where you can be reached during the day, student name and school. We will
contact you as soon as possible.

Some items pictured here may require batteries to power devices. Batteries are not included.

Items are available on a first come basis for a monthly check out. A longer trial period may be possible if the
item is not being requested.

Support is available for classroom hook up and programming through the MGSD AT.

WordMaker

This software is a phonics, phonemic awareness and spelling program that combines two activities.   Students can: manipulate letters to make words using various letter combinations. Students hear an auditory prompt to make a words and get feedback. Students receive word walls of the words they have mastered. Students sort the words into rhymes and use the rhymes to decode and spell new words.
