Homework Help:  www.homeworkhelp.com  You can get homework help, help for particular tests like the SAT or ACT. You can use their study skills program to better your own skills.

Big Chalk:  www.bigchalk.com  This site has everything for the students, parents, and teachers.  You can search or browse this site easily by using keywords or selecting Study and Research or Resources and Activities.

Ask an Expert:  www.k12science.org  Find an expert and help in more than 20 subject areas.

Biographical Dictionary:  www.s9.com/biography  This dictionary covers more than 28,000 notable men and women who have shaped the world from ancient times to the present day.

Homework Center:  www.lightspan.com  Lightspan Homework Center provides advice, information and resources to help students with their homework.  It is divided into grade levels and subjects.

Time Magazine:  www.time.com/time  A wonderful site for information on what is happening in the world today and in the past.  Great images and accounts of news stories.

On-line Dictionaries:  www.yourdictionary.com  Need a definition, a simile, or words translated from another language?  Play word games and learn more about your language.

Grammar Lady:  www.grammarlady.com  The purpose of this site is to be helpful, to raise consciousness about correct language use. You can review the grammar tips or get help editing a project.

The “Why Files” of the National Science Foundation:  http://whyfiles.org  Students can search hundreds of articles from the National Science Foundation. The focus is the science behind the news .

The History Channel:  www.historychannel.com  Search any topic in history at this site.  You can search by keyword or timeline.

Teach Web Tutorials:  www.teachweb.net/class  A guide giving a basic understanding of computer applications.

Foreign Language:   www.study.spanish.com  This site will help students in developing their Spanish skills.

Compiling Data:  www.actden.com  This site has basic tutorials in a number of programs including Powerpoint.
