Understanding Search Engines:  Search Engine Showdown is a website designed to assist users in making the best possible choice when selecting a search engine.  Information provided allows students to better understand how search engines work and how to use them effectively.

IDEAS Portal: IDEAS is the “Interactive Dialogue with Educators from Across the State,” sponsored by the TEACH Wisconsin Collaboration Committee.  This is a searchable database of education resources evaluated by Wisconsin teachers and aligned with the Wisconsin Model Academic Standards.

UW-Madison CIMC: The Center for Instructional Materials and Computing (CIMC) is a valuable resource to local area teachers.  Housed in the Teacher Education Building on campus this library extends borrowing and use privileges to local educators. 

Internet Scout Project: This ground-breaking site provides vast amounts of information that has been evaluated and identified as high-quality material.  Using this resource is like searching the web and knowing everything you find will be quality information. 

Ask ERIC: This website of the U.S. Department of Education provides access to thousands of resources covering a variety of educational issues.  This is a great place to start research for professional development or curricular renovation.
