I grew up on a farm 8 miles West of Columbus, WI. I lived there for 18 years with my mom, dad, two brothers and one sister.

My mom, Alice, retired from Farmer's and Merchant's Bank in Columbus. She is recovering from knee replacement surgery, gardens, spoils her family, helps with the farm and is the bookkeeper for Trapp Farms.

My dad, John, farms in partnership with his father.

My brother, Ron, lives in Portage and works at Northwoods, INC. My sister, Susan, lives in Madison with her husband George and works for Alliant Energy, as an Accountant. My brother, Michael, lives in Burlington with his wife, Mandy, and children, Eli & Stella. Mike works as an agricultural engineer for Case. Eli is my eight year old nephew. In my very biased opinion, he is the cutest and smartest nephew in the whole world! He will be starting 3rd grade this fall. Stella is a six year old little princess. She loves to wear dresses and her favorite color is pink. She will be in first grade this Fall. They both have a very special place in my heart!

I attended St. Jerome's School in Columbus for grades 1-8. I then went to Columbus High School and graduated in 1982. I was off to UW-Whitewater to attain degrees in Elementary Education and Cognitive Disabilities. I graduated in 1987 and was employed by the Monona Grove School District to teach 2nd Grade. In 1993 I received a Masters of Education in Professional Development from UW-Whitewater. I will begin my 22nd year as a 2nd grade teacher this fall.

I enjoy quilting, gardening, African Violets, Orchids, stamping, sending cards, scrap booking, going for walks, biking, camping, Farmer's Market, Concerts on the Square, sewing, reading, and spending time with family/friends.

I teach because I know that I make a difference in the lives of children. My hope is that I will have a lasting impact on their hearts and therefore, in the world. I strive to make learning meaningful and memorable.
