I. The meeting was opened by John Kitslaar at 7:25 p.m.

II. Declaration of Public Notice – Gary Schumacher confirmed that declaration of public notice of the meeting was made.

III. Public Appearances – Janet & Bill Ring – 4318 Shore Acres Rd., Monona to discuss the distribution of a flyer regarding the Ring’s Karate Kid Program.

IV. Minutes from the July 8, 2004 meeting – Teresa Adams moved to approve the minutes from the July 8, 2004 Personnel & Policy Committee meeting. Phil McDade seconded. The minutes were approved as distributed.

V. Discussion and Possible Approval of the Following Policies:

A. Board Policy 113 – Sexual Harassment – Phil McDade moved to forward the policy to the Board for their approval. Teresa Adams seconded. Motion passed.

B. Administrative Rule 113 – Harassment Complaint Procedures – John Kitslaar moved to forward the rule to the Board for their approval. Phil McDade seconded. Motion passed.

C. Board Exhibit 171.2 – Order of Business – Teresa Adams moved to forward the exhibit to the Board for their approval. Phil McDade seconded. Motion passed.

D. Board Policy 236.1 – Food Service Kitchen Manager (Job Description) – John Kitslaar moved to forward the job description, as revised, to the Board for their approval. Teresa Adams seconded. Motion passed.

E. Board Policy 242 – Transportation Supervisor (Job Description) – John Kitslaar moved to forward the job description, as revised, to the Board for their approval. Teresa Adams seconded. Motion passed.

F. Board Policy 333 – Parent Rights and District Program/Activities – Teresa Adams moved to forward the policy to the Board for their approval. Phil McDade seconded. Motion passed.

G. Board Policy 333.1 – Accommodating a Student’s Religious Beliefs – Teresa Adams moved to forward the policy to the Board for their approval. Phil McDade seconded. Motion passed.

H. Board Policy 333.2 – Student Surveys – Phil McDade moved to forward the policy to the Board for their approval. Teresa Adams seconded. Motion passed.

I. Administrative Exhibit 333.2(1) – Request to Inspect a Survey and/or Related Instructional Materials Form – John Kitslaar moved to forward the exhibit, as revised, to the Board for their approval. Teresa Adams seconded. Motion passed.

J. Administrative Exhibit 333.2(2) – Student Survey Opt Out Form – John Kitslaar moved to forward the exhibit, as revised, to the Board for their approval. Teresa Adams seconded. Motion passed.

K. Board Rule 347 – Guidelines for the Maintenance and Confidentiality of Student Records – Teresa Adams moved to forward the rule to the Board for their approval. Phil McDade seconded. Motion passed.

L. Board Policy 411 – Educational Opportunities – John Kitslaar moved to forward the policy to the Board for their approval. Teresa Adams seconded. Motion passed.

N. Administrative Rule 411.1 – Student Harassment Complaints – Teresa Adams moved to forward the rule to the Board for their approval. John Kitslaar seconded. Motion passed.

O. Board Policy 420 – School Admissions – John Kitslaar moved to forward the policy to the Board for their approval. Phil McDade seconded. Motion passed.

P. Board Rule 453.1 – Emergency Nursing Services Guidelines – Teresa Adams moved to forward the rule to the Board for their approval. Phil McDade seconded. Motion passed.

Q. Board Policy 881.2 – Relations with Religious Organizations – Teresa Adams moved to forward the policy to the Board for their approval. Phil McDade seconded. Motion passed.
