March
11, 2002: Dear
Co-workers,
Planning
for the unpredictable, or facing a situation we haven't planned for and never
expected to face, can be unsettling. Needing
long term care could be one of those situations and is more common than you
think. It's not just elderly people
that need care. Trauma victims,
patients recovering from serious illness and surgery, and people with terminal
illnesses may need help with day to day activities and may require long term
care.
How
would you pay for this type of care? You
may think your medical insurance or disability plan would cover long term care
expenses. Chances are, they won't.
To
help you plan and prepare, at any age, we are pleased to offer Long Term Care
insurance from Unum Life Insurance Company of America.
If
you found yourself needing long term care, you may want to ask yourself...
What
kind of care do I want?
Where
would I want to receive the care?
How much money would I want to spend for care?
Answering these questions will help you to understand the choices you have and will aid you when making your decision.
Your
Long Term Care insurance Committee has selected Unum Life Insurance Company
of America to provide this insurance. As the world leader in income and
lifestyle protection, UnumProvident draws on 150 years of experience and
expertise.1
