       The Yang family is making several life changes. The biggest change in their lives is their move from China to Seattle, WA.  The family will meet many new challenges when trying to learn the American customs. A strength the family has to share with others is their ability to create beautiful music on string instruments.  Well, everyone except Yang the Youngest is musically talented.  He and his friend Matthew will do anything to get him out of the families recital.

        Felita's family is making the move from Puerto Rico to New York City.  Felita has a hard time getting to know the other children in the new neighborhood.  They don't understand Felita'a heritage and seem to be cruel.  When her family decides to move back to her old neighborhood Felita finds many changes, mostly within herself.
