MGAS Student Profile |
| The typical student for whom the Alternative School is designed has serious difficulty achieving success in the traditional school environment. Despite the student’s desire to learn and to earn a high school diploma, graduation from a traditional high school is unlikely. |
| The Alternative School meets the needs of those students who have not been successful in the traditional school setting. Learning issues may include non-traditional learning styles, difficulty conforming to classroom rules and schedules, and a need for a more intimate learning environment. Personal issues may include alienation from peers, problems in the home, and engagement in self-destructive behaviors. These issues often result in high absentee rates and credit deficiency. |
