Music at Monona Grove High School

US Womens Olympic Hockey Goalie Jessie Vetter was given a traditional MG Send-Off on Monday, January 25.  Ms. Vetter will be representing the United States as Starting Goalie for the US Womens Hockey Team at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, held in Vancouver.

Ms. Vetter visited Cottage Grove School, Taylor Prairie School, Glacial Drumlin School, Winnequah School, Maywood School, and Monona Grove High School.  Good Luck Ms. Vetter and GO USA!

The Monona Grove High School Music Staff offer quality music instruction to all ages and abilities.  Students have choices in the areas of vocal and instrumental music. Various co-curricular groups are available in addition to scheduled classes, as well as Solo & Ensemble Festival.

Monona Grove High School Bands

Currently there are two bands at MGHS; the Concert Band (grade 9-11) and the Symphonetta (grades 11-12.)  The two groups combine into the Monona Grove High School Marching Band.  The Marching Band builds and rehearses a football show during 1st quarter, then split into the concert groups for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarters.  The bands combine again for the Memorial Day Parade.
