Homework this year will consist of mostly reading and math.

Reading:  Students will get a reading log each month where they will document the minutes they read.  There are often times incentives students can earn by reaching the monthly reading goals!  Reading logs will need to be initialed by an adult each time minutes are added.

Math:  Students will typically have a homelink or review sheet to complete for math.  Homelinks are to be corrected and initialed by an adult (parents will be given the answers for homelinks at the beginning of each unit).  The homelinks are a review of the lesson learned that day.  If your child has been working hard to do their best on a homelink and isn't done after 15 minutes, have them stop working on it and write me a note.  I will reteach the concept to him/her to ensure better understanding.

At the end of each day students will fill in their assignment notebooks with any homework, along with any important messages.  Please sign your child's assignment notebook each night to ensure good home-school communication.  I will be checking these each morning for any notes you may want to write in the parent section.
