Yahara River Writers Anthology
The Yahara River Writers Anthology Project is a writing and cartooning contest for students in grades 5-8. It is sponsored by the Greater Dane County TAG Network.
Students may enter ONE piece in any ONE of these categories:
- Cartoons
- Editorials
- Poetry
- Short Stories
Districts are assigned to read all of the entries and to select the best ten in each category pe grade level. From the ten best, the top two are identified. All of the top ten entries are published in an anthology. In May, all authors of the top ten entries are invited to a workshop on the UW campus. A keynote speaker and breakout sessions for guided activities are highlights of the workshop.
