 Susan Gehn

GT Resource Teacher, Grades 3-8

Education:  I attended UW-Platteville and received my BS in Elementary Education with a minor in Physical Education.  I graduated in May of 1978.   I attended UW-Whitewater for my Masters in Elementary Education and completed my degree in 1989.

Education Experience:  I began my teaching career in Monona Grove in 1983 as a 5th grade teacher at Nichols Elementary School.  I then taught 1st grade for 6 years at Cottage Grove Elementary School.  This was followed by 9 years as a 3rd grade teacher, back at Nichols Elementary School.  I then returned to 5th grade for six years.   I have now been working as a gifted and talented resource teacher for the last two years.

Other Duties  Performed at MG:  I am currently working on the Literacy Committee, Grades 6-8, and the Gifted and Talented Policy Committee.

Family:  My husband and I live in Oregon.  We have 3 children; Brian-27, Emily-26, and Matthew 21. 

Interests: For exercise and recreation, I enjoy jogging, walking, biking, and swimming.  For relaxation, I enjoy reading and scrapbooking.  For hobbies, I enjoy baking and gardening.
