Dear First Grader and Family
Hello from your new First Grade teacher, Mrs. Bradt! I hope you are having a great summer and are excited to begin First Grade! I am looking forward to meeting you. We are going to have a fun-filled year as we get to know each other.
Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I live in Cottage Grove with my husband and daughter, Emily (15 ½) and dog Rupert. I have a grandson, Gibson who will be 2 on the 21st of September. I hope your summer has been fun. This summer Emily and I went to Savannah, Georgia with family. We also went to the Mall of America and Chicago. We did a lot of swimming. I am looking forward to hearing about the fun things you did over the summer.
I graduated from the University of WI-Whitewater. I have been teaching for 17 years. I taught fifth and sixth grade for 12 years in West Allis, WI. Then, I was a substitute teacher in Cottage Grove for 6 years. I taught First Grade part time for 5 years. Some of my favorites subjects to teach are reading, writing, math and science. :
