8:00 - 8:50 All students come to school at 8:00 and participate in group math for the first hour.  This class is designed to improve real-world functioning with math in our world as we know it: cell phone bills, car breakdowns, shopping, checkbook skills, budgeting, etc.  These classes also include branches to more traditional academic elements such as algebra and geometry.

9:00 - 9:15 All students participate in "courteous classroom discussion.  This round-table conferencing practice focuses on building our professional learning environment with respect for and from everyone.  These discussions often include connections to our Circle of Courage philosophy so students can verbalize how they belong to this group, how they master elements of their own life, how they choose independence, and how they give back to our world.

9:15 - 10:15 All students do one variation of English.  Some are working on English for the World of Work and others might be in a book group reading a novel, discussing the text, and writing reflections/analysis of the pieces.

10:25 - 11:25 Students work on independent credit needs.  This is mostly accomplished by projects and presentations but may also include work on computerized classes such as Aleks.  These projects are self-selected by students (with help) to match their personal development and class needs.  We will also run several short seminar projects such as Critical Errors in Thinking based on John Bemis' work or Circle of Courage lessons to familiarize students with our core philosophy.
