Example of Teacher/Aide directions to students

“Everyone should be at their desks with their work out.”

“I’ve asked you to be on task and you’re not.  This is a warning.  What’s the next step?”

“I am issuing you an infraction slip.  You will receive a detention.  What’s the next step?”

“You have continually violated the guidelines for a healthy learning environment.  Report to the HS office.”

Academic Work

Accomplish 100% of assignments to a quality of at least the 70%.

Make up missing work within 2 weeks.

Credit Requirements

Math (1st hour) and English (3rd hour), Gym (4th hour) and History (5th hour) credits require accurate completion of 70% of written material/discussion periods for a passing grade.  Math credit can also be earned be completing levels within the ALEKS program.

 Independent Studies (2nd & 6th hour) require completion of entire series such as “book group” or completion of 9 independent projects completed to a quality of at least 70%.

1st infraction within a 7-day period

15-minute Friday PM detention with work

2nd infraction within a 7-day period

30-minute Friday PM detention with work

3rd infraction within a 7-day period

Saturday school detention with work

4th infraction within a 7-day period

Suspension from school with work
